1. I have sensitivities to certain metals, what materials do you use?

The wire that I use is either Sterling Silver or 14k gold fill. Sterling silver is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. 14k gold fill is a little confusing in that it’s not actually filled with gold, it’s plated with gold and has a brass core. However if you were to buy something “gold plated” the gold content is much less than “gold fill” It wears down fairly quick because it only has a very thin layer of gold. I chose 14k gold fill because it’s right in between plated and solid, it is a long lasting quality wire without the solid gold price. Nickel free and hypoallergenic. :)

2. The clear backs that you provide for your earrings are tight, I’m afraid I will ruin the shape by using them, do you have any other options for backs?

I’ve tried a few different backs and unfortunately, with the thickness of the wire, all of them have been tight. I know it can be frustrating at first, but they do loosen over time! And of course, you don’t want them to be too loose or they won’t do their job. If for any reason your earrings lose it’s shape, do not hesitate to reach out to me. I will fix them free of charge. Most of my designs don’t require the backs, but I understand the desire for some extra security. That is why I still include them with each order.
